Automatic internal & affiliate linking

Update: July 26, 2026

ReviewTycoon can automatically turn mentions inside your article text into links — both internal links (to your other articles) and affiliate links (to your Offers). This helps visitors navigate your site and keeps them on the pages that earn you money, without you having to add every link by hand.

What it does

  • Internal links point to your other published articles on the same review site.
  • Affiliate links point to your Offers through your normal tracked out-link, so clicks and commissions keep being tracked exactly as before.
  • Links are written straight into your article content, so you can see and edit them in the article editor like any other link.

Turning it on

Auto-linking is set per review site and is off by default. To configure it, open your review site and go to Site settings → Links → Internal Links. There you have three settings:

  • Add links automatically when saving an article (Yes / No) — when set to Yes, every time you save an article the links are refreshed automatically.
  • Max. internal links per article — default 3. Set to 0 to switch internal links off.
  • Max. affiliate links per article — default 2. Set to 0 to switch affiliate links off.

The maximum for each type is 10 links per article.

Linking all articles at once

To scan and (re)link your whole site in one go, use the “Auto-link all articles now” button. You’ll find it on the Articles overview (select the review site first) and under Site settings → Links → Internal Links. It re-scans every article and inserts fresh links, respecting your per-site maximums.

Excluding a paid article

If you sell an article (paid placement) and don’t want automatic links added to it, open that article and tick “Exclude from automatic links (paid article)”. Excluded articles are always skipped, both when saving and when running the bulk action.

Removing automatic links

On any individual article you can click “Remove auto-links” to strip out the links that were added automatically. Your own manual text and manually-added links are always preserved.

Good to know

  • Your text is safe. Auto-linking only wraps existing words in a link — it never rewrites, reorders or deletes your content. Running it again simply refreshes the links; it will not stack duplicates.
  • Only inside normal text. Links are never inserted into headings, existing links, buttons, or code blocks.
  • Affiliate links stay tracked. Because affiliate links use your existing tracked out-link, click tracking and postbacks keep working exactly as they do for links you place yourself.
